Blah blah blah... blog.

Today and yesterday have not been very exciting by any means so I am going to combine them into one post - which may drag on about me talking about my unexciting day and thoughts on it. So if you'd rather read up on something more thrilling like National Geographic...I will understand. Otherwise, welcome!
First of all, a very Happy (and belated) Anniversary to my wicked-cool parents. 32 whole years. That's pretty cool if you ask me. All because of a crazy little thing called Love.

Freddie knows.
So far I'm still on Eastern time sleeping pattern - stay up late to talk to people at home (like 3am), sleep and wake up at 1pm here - which would translate to about 10pm - 9am there.
I'm pretty much settled in for the most part - still have one last banking thing to get setup, but that will come at some point. Yesterday was the first day I didn't jump out of bed and go for like a 10k walk down around and through the city centre - I spent most of the day in my room unmotivated to do anything.
I've gotten pretty used to my room now - still hunting for magic erasers - and don't mind being anti-social in here. I still don't like the rest of the flat but I do venture out now and then to eat and talk with my flatmates in the kitchen and whatnot and like to hangout with Alex and Holly across the way in their building.
So yesterday I slept in relatively late again and spent the majority of my afternoon watching the first season of Modern Family - after a certain point I started to getting restless and feeling like I was being dumbed down by watching TV and being on the internet all afternoon so I ventured out to find a book store so I could have something to read (and by 'venture' I mean research on the internet and know exactly where I was going). Stores close at whatever time they want here - it's not like NA where everything is open till 9pm Mon-Fri. So I went to this cute bookstore that ended up being 4 floors and started to have a look around. After probably 35-40 minutes of looking I decided on Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven. My 8th grade teacher read this to us back in the day so I decided to have a go at it again.
On the way back I stopped in at PoundLand for a drink - turns out their juice is relatively un-normal. I found one orange concoction that was a 'Still Orange flavoured Soft Drink' so I don't know if it's juice or pop... it had 10% real juice, was only 10 calories and have no added sugar - so I'm really not too sure what was in that. Energy drinks are crazy cheap here and all over the place. I finally decided on Capri-Sun juice pouches to be safe.
One of my more Finer pictures
But that's my cool shirt.
So I didn't get a chance to start my book last night because we (Myself, Alex & Holly) ended up going a Graffiti Party at a club called Kushion in the city centre. It was a lot of fun, we got t-shirts and it was all glow in the dark with UV lights and you could sign peoples shirts and UV face painting! Drinks were cheap too and ya... it was just a grand old time. Our drivers licence work ats ID here which is nice because I don't want to be carting my passport around and when the bouncer saw mine and Alex's ID his response was 'Thanks, eh'. Haahaha.

Woot woot, UV facepaint and glowing in the dark.
Clubs here are also open until 3am instead of 2am at home.
Met lots of people last night from all over the place, lots of people are intrigued by our 'Canadian-ness' and ask lots of questions - usually we just tell people we live near Toronto because anywhere else in Canada doesn't really exist - unless they've been there - in which case we get to hear about where they have been and what they have seen in the great vast country that is Canada. We got back just shortly after 3am and I immediately got washed up and climbed into bed, where I may have fallen asleep whilst texting a certain someone... Oops. But that's okay cuz it was almost 4am at that point.
We will definitely being hitting up the Glasgow nightlife again soon :)

Today - I first half flew out of bed when the fire alarm decided to go off. It stopped after 3 seconds and I rolled back into bed. I then woke up later, ate some food and chatted with mom for a bit on facetime - I really enjoy that. Annnnnd so far have been blogging my little heart out. Oh I looked up bus tickets because we are going to Edinburgh tomorrow, but that's about it.
Still waiting for my light to be fixed...

Yep, nothing terribly exciting happening here. I'm seriously resisting the urge to go to McDonalds... it's not that far, but  I also gotta do some number crunching because I don't really enjoy being in debt... who does right? So I am going to figure that out to the last PENNY (or pence)!

hahaha Anywho, I guess that is it for now. Should probably go find something to eat since its like 6pm...

Just remember.... if you can get up and dance like this...AND smile about it....
