I can't think of a proper title...

Today is Eddies birthday.
Actually its not. But I am reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven and that's how every other Chapter begins. It's actually a really intriguing book, you should read it.
But on a more interesting note - my birthday is in one week (September 25th)!

Monday was International Orientation at the school. It wasn't terribly interesting or informative but the president of the student association gave an enthusiastic and funny presentation. But they managed to overestimate the length of the presentations and we ended up having to sit and wait around for an hour for lunch. Then after they took us by faculty to check our timetables and make sure there were no clashes. Their timetable system is stupid in that they don't give you one just for you, rather you look up the class and see the timetable for that class and then combine all your classes into one yourself. So that was dumb and kinda ancient.
I also found out that my rent for this sad excuse of an accommodation is a lot less than I thought it was so that makes me feel better about it.
I went grocery shopping after orientation and decided to go all out because I actually needed some real food to last me for a decent amount of time. So we went to a full Supermarket (Grocery store) and I got a decent amount of food.

I've learned through my flatmates that during conversation I will unknowingly accent words or phrases, so apparently picking up the accent isn't that hard when your surrounded by it all day everyday.

Today I went for a walk around and found the river that runs through the city and wandered about. I also went to see about getting a bank account setup but that didn't pan out so well, yet. I also went to PoundLand and got a few more essentials. When I got home I began corresponding with Brock Advisors back home to make sure I was making the right decisions about courses. I have ended up even more confused but that's tomorrow's task.

Alex's flat hosted a pre-drinking party before going to the club Sugar Cube. It was really fun meeting and talking to other international students. So now I have met some people and made some friends from all over the place like Sweden and Norway and Holland and Finland, Indonesia, etc. It was awesome. I decided not to go out for not wanting to be out at 3am. I think others are going to go to the international night at a pub tomorrow night so I am looking forward to that, I think. We will see I guess.

Tomorrow we are going to go to this big cathedral somewhere in the city and then the Glasgow Museum of Modern Art, both are close and free admission so that's always a good reason to go.

Anywho, off to bed for now. I will post some more pictures later.
